When you open a module from the BI launch pad home page using My Applications > Module or Applications > Module, or from the public folders or personal categories, the module opens and expands to fit the entire page, and the expanded toolbar appears. The expanded toolbar with the Edit, Save, and Save As options is applicable only to Text and Compound modules and not applicable to the modules created using the "Templates "category in "Module Library", such as the Group, Viewer, Web Page, Text, and Navigation List modules, because these are embedded onto the BI workspace layout and the BI workspace along with these embedded modules is saved.

You can perform the following actions on modules:

• Edit

  Click this link to display the module in edit mode.

  
  

  Note: When you edit a module that is stored in the CMS, you are editing all occurrences of the module in all BI workspaces in which it appears.
• Save

  Click this link to save the module.
  

  Note: Embedded BI workspace modules cannot use this action. Because they were created directly in the BI workspace, they are populated with data only when the BI workspace is opened and saved as part of the BI workspace.
• Save As

  Click Save As to save the module for the first time, or to save it to a different location.
